These 6 month releases are getting lame because each iteration requires another install, usually breaks some things that worked in the last version (my broadcom didn't work in hardy but it did in gutsy). Canonical needs to switch to yearly updates, and not market them as an entirely new OS version (ie windows 2000, windows xp). It should be more of an Ubuntu upgrade, since you can update from your current version. This will attract more people who then won't be misled into thinking they're OS is going to be outdated in 6 months
