There's also rising budgets in software development. It seems like most people on here ignore the cost of software development. If people really want to see the end of DRM, they'll have to stop pirating. To all you who will say EA and other game development companies should lower their prices, a game would have to be really cheap for most people to switch from pirating to legally obtaining. That price would be a price so low that no game company could ever recoup the cost. People underestimate how much effort and time goes into software development.

I think we all know the difference b/t making a copy and straight up stealing something, but in the context of his post I think 'stealing' makes sense. Like he said, if everyone one pirated the game, then the company would go out of business and no future games will exist, so in that regard you might as well be stealing
