maybe that is because the public education system is absolutely horrible and completely worthless. you ever read On Liberty? if the state is in charge of your education they will only educate you in ways that will benefit the state. what we need is school vouchers, not state controlled schools. the government should pay for school, but the parents should be able to choose which schools to send their children to. why would competition be a bad thing?

I recently got a beta to boxee for my macbook pro. Ever since installing it it takes over for front row, which is fine, but it also bogards the apple remote signal. I can no longer control VLC or iTunes with the apple IR remote. Anyone have a solution to that beyond uninstalling boxee? buy glass tile

thanks for the nytimes link--pretty cool feature they got there. search the timeline for uses of 'maverick' and 'mavericks' and you see that palin used it 6 times, while biden used it 9 times (to say mccain is NOT a maverick, of course). i wouldn't have thought biden topped the maverick count. each one of palin's lame 'maverick' droppings just makes me roll my eyes.
