Utterly and completely untrue. What conservatives want is for students to be able to attend any school they choose through school vouchers. We want accountability so teachers can be fired without hiding behind their union. It has nothing to do with what's being taught, rather the lack of accountability and results inherent in our current system.
I also spent my college days in good ol' Madison, and it is indeed a very special place, with the drunken midday protests, the drunken tear-gassed halloweens, the drunken Badger games...alcohol is part of the culture, and rowdiness is a symptom of an excited and engaged student body. With no band at the game, it will be interesting to see how the students react...will it be halloween style?
