@radu: Thats assuming your employers will give you large pay raises to counter act the large cost of living increases which usually they have a hard time doing, just as employees have a hard time taking pay cuts in a deflation market when cost of living goes down.

yes the point here is that google shouldn't have sent you to an ssl page without the subdomain when their SSL cert is for the www.google.com. If this was some other website I wouldn't even look at it again, this makes them look like a mom and pop shop. No wonder more then half of google's products are still in "beta".
