High school cheerleading isn't as impressive as college cheerleading. Take it from me! Before commenting on the legitimacy of the "sport", please feel free to take part in a practice session or competition of one of the better teams. Just like with football or basketball, there are good teams and bad teams. The good cheerleading teams will have 40 people and full-squad tumbling, whereas the bad teams will be Division III teams with 12 people, one of which who tumbles. It's all relative.
