That's not what he's talking about. When we complain about "legislating morality," we're talking about being given laws that tell us how we're supposed to behave as people, laws that touch on subjects far beyond its intended scope. An example of "legislating morality" that you'll understand is the grossly unfair laws against sodomy that we only recently did away with. The government has no business telling us what kind of sex we can and can't have with a legally consenting partner.

Every human should see this.
